WHAT IS NASAL SEPTUM?
Nasal septum is a midline structure of the nose which is made up of bone and the cartilage . It divides nasal cavity into right and left nasal passages and nostrils.

DNS is the displacement of nasal septum to either right or left side causing nasal airway blockage and deviated or crooked appearance.
WHAT ARE THE AFFECTS OF DNS?
The patient has difficulty in breathing and the nose may look deviated or crooked on external appearance.
WHAT IS SEPTOPLASTY ?
Septoplasty is a surgical procedure to excising the deviated part of nasal septal cartilage and bring the septum in the midline. It is done alone or along with Rhinoplasty surgery.
