Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery takes about 3 hours in our accredited operation theater.

It is done under general anesthesia administered by a certified anesthesiologist.

Breast reduction surgery is mostly an outpatient surgery i.e., you will be sent home the same evening. In few cases, you will be required to stay overnight.

The scar of breast reduction surgery is in a shape of a lollipop. The incision circles around the nipple and goes straight down up to the crease of breast.

The final scar varies from person to person and depends upon the individual skin genetics. The scar reduces significantly over one year.

The nipples might feel numb after the surgery but it is temporary loss. The nipple sensation almost always come back over next few months.

During Breast Reduction surgery, some part of glandular tissue and milk ducts are removed. So this will affect and decrease the breasts ability to produce milk. But today surgeons use certain techniques to preserve these structures and it is highly likable that you will be able to breast feed. Amazingly, the cut milk ducts and nerves can also reattach over few months.

You can do all the normal activities at home like walking around, eating normal diet, watching television, talking on mobile, internet surfing etc. from 2nd day after surgery.

You can take shower or bathe, just 3 days after surgery.
