Frequently Asked Questions
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CONDUCT THE LIP REDUCTION SURGERY?
The surgery will usually last for anywhere from 1-2 hours. You will be prepped before the surgery, and then local anesthesia will be administered. The actual procedure will at least take thirty minutes per lip.
WILL THERE BE SCARS AFTER THE LIP REDUCTION PROCEDURE?
The scars caused by the surgery will be inside the mouth and will not be visible once the sutures heal entirely. During the initial few weeks, the area may feel thick and display typical signs of healing. Once healed, the scars will be almost invisible.
IS THE SURGERY PAINFUL?
The surgical procedure is usually conducted under local anesthesia. You won’t feel pain during the procedure, but there will be some pain and swelling during the recovery process. However, your doctor will prescribe pain medication to alleviate the symptoms.
WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO SEE THE RESULTS?
The best results of the surgery will be visible 2-3 months after undergoing surgery. The recovery time will last for at least 7-10 days. Initially, the suture lines may appear irregular, but they will continue to improve with time.
