WHO NEEDS OTOPLASTY SURGERY ?
You might consider otoplasty if your ears stick out too far from your head or your ears are too large in proportion to your head. These are called Prominent or Bat ears.
IS THERE ANY SCARRING?
Yes there will be a linear scar but it is hidden in the crease behind your ears. This scar will gradually fade away over next few months.

Yes, the results are permanent.
WHAT IS THE SURGICAL TIME TAKEN FOR OTOPLASTY?
Time taken by a plastic surgeon to operate on both ears is about 1.5 hours.
IS OTOPLASTY SURGERY PAINFUL?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, you will not feel any pain during the surgery. In apprehensive patient’s, intravenous sedation can be given.
WHEN CAN ONE SEE THE RESULTS OF OTOPLASTY?
The correction in the shape of the ears can be seen immediately.
HOW MANY FOLLOWUP VISITS ARE REQUIRED POST OTOPLASTY?
Two visits are required first on 2nd day for dressing and second on 7th day post surgery for skin sutures removal.
